Otsuka in the U.S.

Being London-based, Red Snapper’s dual challenge was to not only come up the best proposal but to also prove that we could successfully collaborate online and through regular teleconferences ‘across the pond’ with limited face-to-face meetings.
We won.

We wanted the site to focus on Otsuka-people, so we featured them with powerful visuals on the home page, a very different approach to that used by many other pharmaceutical companies. We used creative and inspiring combinations of video and animation to give prominence to Otsuka culture and to tell the stories of a wide variety of people who work at the company. These very personal stories reveal how the company’s unique culture encourages them to follow their dreams within many different roles, from medical research to regulatory affairs.

We also built extensive sections featuring Otsuka’s colourful and fascinating history, the company’s extensive R&D initiatives and the products and services it currently provides in the U.S.. A Careers and Talent section makes the case for why Otsuka in the U.S. is such a special place to work and also provides regular updates on current vacancies.

The end result of the extensive design and build project by the Red Snapper team is an eye-catching website that undoubtedly stands out from the rest and puts people and culture at the top of the agenda. It meets all of the numerous stakeholder objectives and has received very positive feedback from visitors. The Corporate Communications Team for Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc., that supports the U.S. affiliates now uses our CMS to update the site and we provide support and on-going consultancy.
